3 cups watermelon puree (seedless if possible)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 peach or nectarine, diced small
handful fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
Cut the watermelon into chunks and then puree it in a blender until smooth. Set aside.
Set out about 1 dozen popsicle molds (amount needed will vary depending on size of molds). Fill each one with the chopped fresh fruit. Then pour in the watermelon puree until each mold is full to the top. Place a popsicle stick into each one. Place into your freezer and freeze for about 6 to 8 hours.
When ready to serve, run the popsicle molds under warm water for a few seconds and then pull each one out.

Homeless Mother Imprisoned For Sending Kid To Better School District, Charged For Stealing Free Public Education
A mother who pleaded guilty to fraudulently enrolling her six-year-old son in the wrong school district has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Tonya McDowell sent her son to an elementary school in Norwalk, Connecticut, instead of her home city of Bridgeport.
The 34-year-old, who was homeless when she was charged with felony larceny last year, said she wanted the best education possible for the boy.
Authorities told the hearing that she used a babysitter’s address to enroll her son in kindergarten in Norwalk when he should have attended schools in Bridgeport, her last permanent address.
McDowell told police she was living in a van and occasionally slept at a Norwalk shelter or a friend’s Bridgeport apartment when she enrolled her son Norwalk’s Brookside Elementary School.
Police said McDowell stole $15,686 worth of free educational services from Norwalk.
She also pleaded guilty to four counts of sale of narcotics, which will be included in her prison sentence.
McDowell was sentenced to 12 years in jail, suspended after she serves five years, and five years probation.

Oh, whew, that was close! We almost focused on a mother getting a 12-year sentence for daring to try to get her child the best education she could while, y’know, TRYING TO SURVIVE BEING HOMELESS in a society that continually shits on people with no secure shelter and emphasizes that a good education is the ONLY way off the streets. Good thing whoever tagged that reorganized our priorities for us.
SMH at people who would suggest that if she sold weed, she deserves to go to jail, full stop. That’s why I can’t talk to my mother about this, because apparently you’re supposed to live a crystal-clear lifestyle while fighting every day to keep your child and yourself fed. No. If your baby is hungry and homeless and you’re a parent with even a scrap of human empathy, YOU ARE GOING TO STOP AT NOTHING TO GET YOUR CHILD ANY CHANCE THEY CAN AT A BETTER LIFE.
